Daily Attendance

Delight Academy records attendance daily, Monday through Friday.

Iman-Based Classes

Iman-based classes are conducted live via Zoom only. To be marked present, students must attend the daily morning live classes. Teachers will take attendance at the beginning of each class. Students arriving more than 5 minutes late will be marked tardy. Students arriving after half the class has passed will be marked absent.

Core Courses

Core courses are designed to be self-paced; however, teachers offer daily live classes for students needing guidance. Attendance is based on completing the online module and submitting assignments on the platform by 9:00 PM each day. Attendance is not recorded for participating in live classes.

Absence Notification

If a student is ill and unable to attend part or all of the live classes, or cannot complete their asynchronous coursework, the learning coach must submit the absence excuse form no later than 8:30 AM on the day of the absence.

Excused Absences

Approval for such an absence must be granted by the school administration prior to the absence in accordance with the Student Educational Leave of Absence Policy. Delight Academy recognize the following as excused absence

• Death in the Immediate Family

• Medical or Dental Appointments

• Illness or Injury

• Court or Administrative Proceedings

• Family emergency- family emergencies shall be strictly construed and do not permit irregular attendance.
